Process to Register Vehicle in Andhra Pradesh : An application for Temporary Registration shall be made in Form 20 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 prescribed for Registration, under the Act marked “Temporary” to the Registring Authority or to the dealer dealing in the sale of New Motor Vehicles Recognised by the Transport Commissioner. It shall not be necessary to fill in the items 23 to 32 of the Form notwithstanding that be may be a Transport Vehicle.

Temporary Registration

Extension of Temporary Registration

An application for extension of the period of Temporary Registration shall be made to the Registering Authority specifying the period up to which extension is necessary and shall be accompanied by the Temporary Registration Form C.R.Tem .

  • Copy of Sales certificate in Form 21.
  • Copy of Road worthiness certificate in Form 22from the manufacturers ( Form 22A from the Body builder).
  • Copy of Valid Insurance Certificate.
  • Pollution Under control Certificate.
  • Copy of Proof of Address (Ration Card, Electricity Bill,…..).
  • Copy of Design approval copy of STA in case Trailar or Semi Trailar.
  • Copy of Original Sales Certificate from the concerned Authorities in Form 21in the case of Ex_Army Vehicle.
  • Copy of Customs Clearance Certificate in the case of Imported Vehicles.
  • Unless exempted, the Fee payable to the Temporary Registration or for its extension shall be Rs.15/-(as per Rule 89 of APMV Rules).

Tax as per APMVT Act.

(Form21,Form 22,Form 22A will be given by Manufacturer/Dealer along with Invoice)

Permanent Registration

An application for registration of a Motor Vehicle shall be made in Form 20 to the Registering Authority within a period of 7 days from the date of delivery of such vehicle excluding the period of journey and shall be accompanied by

  • Sales certificate in Form 21.
  • Road worthiness certificate in Form 22 from the manufacturers ( Form 22A from the Body builder).
  • Valid Insurance Certificate.
  • Proof of Address (Ration Card, Electricity Bill,…..).
  • Design approval copy of STA in case Trailar or Semi Trailar.
  • Original Sales Certificate from the concerned Authorities in Form 21 in the case of Ex_Army Vehicle.
  • Pollution Under control Certificate.
  • Customs Clearance Certificate in the case of Imported Vehicles.
  • Appropriate Fee as specified in Rule 81of CMV Rules.

Tax as per APMVT Act.

(Form 21, Form 22, Form 22A will be given by Manufacturer/Dealer along with Invoice)

Renewal of Certificate of Registration

An application for Renewal of Certificate of Registration shall be made in Form 25 not more than 60 days before the date of its expiry, by paying the appropriate fee as specified in Rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, to the Registration Authority in whose Jurisdiction the vehicle is.

  • C.Book
  • Pollution under Control Certificate.

Issue of Duplicate Certificate of Registration

An application for Issue of duplicate Certificate of Registration shall be made in Form 26 . If covered by Finance / Hire Purchase / Lease with the signatures of the Financier on Form 26 in duplicate, duly paying the appropriate fee as specified in Rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989, to the Registration Authority in whose Jurisdiction the vehicle is.

Requirements:

  • Police Certificate
  • Pollution under Control Certificate.
